Canadian Livestock Insurance was founded in 1975 in Toronto by John Carlton, who had been active in livestock insurance for many years. While the majority of animals insured through us are horses, we have also arranged coverage for cattle, sheep , poultry, elephants and even turkeys. Currently we handle insurance for approximately 1000 horse owners and breeders throughout the United States and Canada.
