WSU is a comprehensive university. There are 15 colleges and schools. We offer 355 major subject areas, 128 bachelor, 136 master, and 61 different doctoral degrees plus 30 different certificate, specialist and professional programs.

University of Detroit Mercy is the largest and most comprehensive Catholic university in Michigan. The University's nine schools and colleges offer more than 120 academic fields of study to students from all 50 states and nearly 100 countries.

Marygrove College is an independent, Catholic, liberal arts college. Founded by the congregation of Catholic Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in 1905 as St. Mary College in the town of Monroe, the college became Marygrove College in 1925, with the laying of the cornerstone of the present Liberal Arts Building in Detroit.
