Administered by The University of Southern Mississippi, the J.L. Scott Marine Education Center (MEC&A) is the Biloxi campus of the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL). The MEC&A, the GCRL, and a campus at the Stennis Space Center all comprise the Institute of Marine Sciences (IMS).
