The Royal Society Het Friesch Paarden-Stamboek has been registering Friesian horses since 1879. Its purpose is to promote the breeding of this unique horse. FPS and the foreign associations work together on a world-wide basis to encourage the breeding of pure-bred Friesian horses according to the regulations of FPS.
