The HKBWS was founded in 1957, and is now an active and fast-growing society with a membership of around 400 from Hong Kong and overseas. It publishes a quarterly bulletin and an annual Bird Report. The society runs regular field outings in Hong Kong throughout the year, led by experienced locals and all birders are welcome to join.
