The tide took a dramatic turn when I reached age 13. I slowed down, became fatigued, depressed, withdrawn. Everyone just chalked it up to adolescence, but I believe now, that fibromyalgia syndrome was beginning to kick in.

I have had this chronic pain since I was at least 14/15. Over the years I went from barely tolerating it, to frustration, to feeling helpless, and finally accepting it.
