The mission of the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) is to contribute to, to encourage, and to enhance the development of sound employee benefit programs and sound public policy through objective research and education.

The National Alliance, based upon an educational platform laid by an exceptional 30-year history with the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC), now encompasses virtually every aspect of insurance and risk management education through a broad selection of continuing education and professional development programs.

The Society of Insurance Research was founded in 1970 to provide a forum for the free exchange of ideas in all areas of insurance research. It has expanded to marketing and planning, as well as research. The Society has since grown to include representation from many different organizations including insurance and non-insurance companies, government agencies, institutions of higher education, and trade associations.

The Centre for Pensions and Social Insurance (CPSI) is a joint research centre of Birkbeck College, University of London and City University. The CPSI is administered by a steering committee from Birkbeck's Faculty of Social Sciences and the City University School of Actuarial Science, Mathematics and Statistics.
