The Yoho-Burgess Shale Foundation is a non-profit educational organization with charitable status based in Field, British Columbia. It was established in 1989 to increase the exposure of the genereal public to the Earth Sciences and in particular, to promote interest in Geology and Paleantology. The actions of the Foundation are aimed at increasing the understanding of the geology so well exposed in the mountain national parks.
