The Society for Communty Research and Action (SCRA), Division 27 of the American Psychological Association, serves many different disciplines that focus on community research and action. Our members have found that, regardless of the professional work they do, the knowledge and professional relationships they gain in the SCRA have been invaluable and invigorating.

The ecological-community psychology program has been designed to bring humanitarian and scientific thought to bear upon the solution of critical human problems. The graduate training program focuses on the highest quality field-based research strategies to further knowledge about a wide range of human and social problems and about social intervention strategies aimed at addressing these problems.
