University of Massachusetts Lowell Radiation Laboratory Established in 1962 and restructured to it's present form in 1981 the University of Massachusetts Lowell Radiation Laboratory consists of a 0.3 MC Cobalt-60 radiation source, and a 5.5 MV Van de Graff accelerator.
