Gamble Rogers Middle School, home of the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival, was named for a famous singer/song writer and former member of the Serendipity Singers folk group. The school opened in 1994 just 5 miles south of St. Augustine, Florida. Harriette Coffee was the first principal. Jim Springfield served from 1995-1999. Randy Johnson is current principal.
