Heaton Public School OUR MISSION :ONLY THE BEST 2002 WELCOME 1994 Year of the Tree Ceramic Mural BRIEF HISTORY: Heaton Public School was opened in 1958 to serve the growing population of Birmingham Gardens and Jesmond areas. Number rose to over 500 students in 1968 but by 1985 the shift in population had seen Heaton down to 140 students. Today 190 students attend this happy little school.
