Poets From Palestine Dedicated to the memory of Dr. Hussein Barghouti (1954-2002) Poets From Palestine is an attempt to introduce a group of Palestinian poets who, in their poems, told the story of The Occupation and The Resistance. They talked about the love of the land and its people. They sang for The Revolution, The Struggle, and The Sacrifice. They dreamed about The Victory and The Return .
Al-Funun was an Arab-American journal that presented the works of most of the future members of the famous literary society al-Rabitah al-Qalamiyah (The Pen Bond: 1916, 1920-1931) between 1913-1918. Al-Funun was the creation of Nasib Aridah (1889-1946), who like Kahlil Gibran and Mikhail Naimy was intensely devoted to lifting from Arabic literature the sense of stagnation that had befallen it.
