- The Last Queen of Hawai`i Lili`uokalani was the last queen of the Hawaiian Islands. Her rule lasted from 1891 to 1895. She was born Lydia Paki Kamakaeha Lili`uokalani in 1838. Her parents were councilors to King Kamehameha III. Young Lydia attended the Royal School which was run by American missionaries.
