Al-Hewar magazine and Al-Hewar Center are valuable resources on Arab civilization, culture, religion and politics.
Al-Funun was an Arab-American journal that presented the works of most of the future members of the famous literary society al-Rabitah al-Qalamiyah (The Pen Bond: 1916, 1920-1931) between 1913-1918. Al-Funun was the creation of Nasib Aridah (1889-1946), who like Kahlil Gibran and Mikhail Naimy was intensely devoted to lifting from Arabic literature the sense of stagnation that had befallen it.
