The Putney Central School serves children from kindergarten through 8th grade. Current enrollment is at 246 students, with an average class size of 15. A new wing was added to the school in 1994 to house the library, the art room, the music program, and grades 7 and 8. There are at least two computers in every classroom throughout the entire school, and every classroom has a connection to the Internet.
